How to correctly measure your helmet size?
The right size motorcycle helmet is vital to protect the rider's head during an impact. In order for the helmet to work properly, it must fit perfectly to stay securely on the head.
Head measurement is only a starting point for the entire sizing process. Due to the different shapes, heads that are apparently the same size, measured with a tape, do not necessarily have the same helmet. It is necessary to use a textile tape for measurement. You can also use string, which you can then place on top of the tape measure.
After putting the helmet on, check that the helmet is on all the way to the top of the head. After putting on the helmet, it is necessary to wear the helmet for at least 1 minute, only then can it be determined whether it will not be too tight later.
With the helmet on, move your head sharply to the sides, then its looseness and tightness will become apparent. Try to move the helmet sideways, take it off your head or slip it off your head.
It is also necessary to fasten the helmet and tighten the strap, whether the fastening buckle is long enough and does not press.
A simple rule applies when using a helmet: the tighter it is, the safer it is, but at the same time less comfortable.
How to correctly measure your clothing size?
To choose the right size, you will need to know the correct measurements of your figure. When measuring, wear underwear or just a thin layer of outerwear. You will need a tape measure to measure. You can measure yourself alone, but it is easier and faster in pairs.
To determine the size, you will need to know the following measurements:
How to correctly measure your gloves size?
When buying gloves, comfort should be a priority. The gloves fit well and you will feel comfortable only if you have the right size. Sizing gloves can be a bit more complicated than you might expect, so follow these steps to get your glove size accurately.
- Measure the circumference. Wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your hand. You should always use your dominant hand when measuring your glove size. The tape measure should wrap over the top of your hand and across the palm at its widest point.
- Measure the length. Extend your hand and fingers and place the tape measure on the end of your middle finger. Then stretch the tape measure down to the bottom of your hand and hold it taut where your wrist starts.
- Select a larger number and round up. For example, the arm measurement might be 5.5 inches and the length measurement of your arm might be 6¾ inches. In that case, you would use 6¾ and round up to 7. That means your glove size is 7.
How to correctly measure your boots size?
Stand with your back to the wall and bring your heel to the wall and accurately measure the length of your foot in cm (from heel to toe). Round the size to the nearest 0.5 cm. (for example 26.3 = 26.5, 28.7 = 28.5 or 26.8 = 27.0) Do not forget that if you use mostly thicker socks, feel free to increase the number by 0.5-1.
